Mindset...Christ....Mindset...Self
So what sets Christians apart from those that walk beside them? What truly makes Christians "different" types of people? I say Christ in them, allowing Him to speak and respond for them. When they are confronted by the anger and hate of the world if they respond in the way their flesh would have them respond no one would know them from any other human being. Their words would be harsh and not so nice. They might not curse, They might not call another a name but they would be just as harsh and judgmental as the rest of the world. Christ in them, responding for them, will show them different. They need to remember to keep walking in the mindset of Christ. Keeping the scriptures of how Christ would have them to respond at the forefront of their minds. When someone says or does something hurtful or mean they need to respond with kindness and love. Being human they always make mistakes and that is why they need God's grace, however they cannot walk through life with that being the mindset. Feeling that oh, "I can mess up because I have God's grace". "I can treat people however I want, I have God's grace and it is okay". NO! They have to keep their focus on Christ...keep their actions and their reactions Christ focused not self focused. If they allow Christ to speak through them, they will fulfill those scripture, referenced actions, responding in a positive manner to negative forces. If they allow their human selfish nature to take control they will look the same as a non believer. When negative forces come to them they will respond negatively. They must know as Christians that they need to always look to Christ for the model for their life. How did Christ respond when faced with a similar situation. Are they able to always make the perfect response? Absolutely not, but they need to always expect the best from themselves and never think that they are going to fail. If they look at their life like they "have" God's grace so it is "OKAY" to fail at following Christ example then they are not expecting to follow Christ. That is not Okay...They have to expect to succeed and "IF" they fail they have God's grace. That is the difference and that is the difference of allowing Christ to speak through you and speaking for self. Feedback.
